Arabian Horse Trust to Accept Arabian Horse Galleries Donations

SANTA YNEZ, CA— On August 12, 2008, the Purebred Arabian Trust officially announced that the Arabian Horse Trust, a 501(c)3 non-profit, has agreed to accept tax deductible contributions designated to the Arabian Horse Galleries to fund the interior exhibit construction for the Arabian Horse Galleries at the Kentucky Horse Park.

The Arabian Horse Trust has been actively engaged in the Arabian Horse Galleries project since inception, both by entrusting its museum collection to the Kentucky Horse Park and funding the more than $100,000 cost of cataloguing, organizing and transferring the collection to the Kentucky Horse Park.

The Arabian Horse Galleries project has two (2) major Funding Phases.

Phase I
The first phase is the funding of the building construction in accordance with the Purebred Arabian Trusts’ agreement with the Commonwealth of Kentucky, totaling a cost of $4 million. Sixty percent of the funds for this are derived from the sale of the Arabian Horse Center in Westminster, Colorado, with the remaining 40 percent of the funds provided by the Purebred Arabian Trust.
These Phase I costs are fully funded, with no debt relating to this phase.

Phase II
The second phase consists of exhibit design and fabrication, with a fundraising objective of an additional $4 million. Plans are currently underway for a development campaign to commence during 2008. Contributions to this effort will be accepted by the Arabian Horse Trust for use in the Arabian Horse Galleries.
Funding for this phase will come from contributions by the Arabian horse community.
